Job Description:

Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Younger facility located in Taylor, British Columbia is recruiting for Day Foreman, Maintenance to join the team.  This position reports to the Supervisor, Operations in the Gas Services Business Unit, (GBU), part of Pembina’s Facilities Division. The Gas Services Business Unit provides gas gathering, compression, shallow/deep cut processing and both sweet and sour deep cut processing services for its customers, primarily on a fee-for-service basis under long-term contracts.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in MOC coordination and tracking;
  • Participate in collective bargaining;
  • Daily processing of work notifications and assist in work planning;
  • Provide appropriate training and leadership to develop staff, mentor, and support the succession planning initiatives of the business;
  • Processing & equipment troubleshooting;
  • Conduct Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) on all Safety Critical equipment failures and any other equipment failures, and ensure corrective and preventative actions are taken to prevent recurrence;
  • Ensure behaviors/requirements supporting Pembina’s safety culture of “Zero by Choice” and the “Life Saving Rules” are being adhered to, and organizational standards and regulatory requirements are being met;
  • Direct supervision of all operations staff;
  • Work with engineering staff on project development and execution;
  • Collaboration with maintenance personnel to identify and prioritize daily tasks;
  • Participate in a team environment that values inclusion and diversity.
  • Assess annual asset regulatory & corporate compliance requirements, and ensure annual plans are developed and adjusted accordingly;
  • Ensure all work is completed within Pembina Maintenance Management (PMM) guidelines;

Job Requirements:

  • Experience managing a unionized environment would be considered an asset;
    Grade 12 High School Diploma is required;
  • Strong written and verbal interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
  • Minimum 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate;
  • Previous CMMS experience is considered an asset; and
  • Strong, professional verbal and written communication skills;
  • Minimum 10 years progressive experience in an extraction plant, with proven leadership abilities as demonstrated by your ability to plan, direct, coordinate and supervise the work of a multi-disciplinary team engaged in the operation and maintenance of the facility;
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office and demonstrated aptitude working with other business-related computer programs and applications;
  • Passion and commitment to the training and development of the team;
